chapter 9


1.Clay’s mom knows there something wrong with him, but she leaves him alone. Why do you think she did that?
I think Clays mom left Clay alone even though she knew something was wrong because she knew deep inside she knew he was not doing something that was up to no good.

2.Why was Peer Communication an important class for Hannah?
Peer communications at school was like Hannah’s safe haven at school.

3.What method did Mrs. Bradley use to have her student give their opinions about others?
Ms. Bradley had a brown bag for each student on a rack. Students were able to place little notes in each other’s bag saying whatever they wanted to say about each other. Students would usually give each other nice little compliments.

4.Who does Clay see at Rosie’s?
At Rosie’s Clay sees Tony.

5.What did Zach do to Hannah? And why do you think he did that to her?
Zach was taking out Hannah’s notes that were in her brown bag. I think Zach was doing that because he just was an immature little brat.

6.Why do you think Hannah wanted to change her appearance?
I think Hannah wanted to change her appearance because she wanted to be noticed. I also think she changed it because that is a sign of suicide. Hannah also did it without noticing that a change in appearance is a sign of suicide.

7.What did Hannah do to catch Zach taking her notes?
Hannah left herself a not in the brown bag to see if it would be there the next day.

8.Why do you think Zach didn’t apologize to Hannah?
I do not know why Zach did not apologize to Hannah.

9.Describe Hannah’s meltdown in the hall, and why it happened?
Hannah started crying and screaming to Zach why he had done what he did. Hannah had her melt down because she was sad and what Zach did made her feel horrible. It made her feel horrible because Hannah needed those notes of encouragement.

10.What are some warning signs of a suicidal individual?
Some warning signs of a suicidal individual are a sudden change in appearance, giving away personal belongings.
