
1.The boys hear the ocean. They hear the waves crashing.The ocean helps the boys stay at peace because its so beautiful and relaxing.
2.There were clusters of huts by the beach, but no one in the village, mortars were in the sand, rice spilling out of them, jerry cans leaked water, and fires were unattended.

6.The strange man took them into his hut. He have them food and helped them fix their feet.
7.Musa had a round face, he was short and bulky, with tiny round ears. His eyes were also very big.
8.Kanei had a long calm face, he was skinny and short with really dark hair. He also seemed to know how to say and handle certain situations.
9.Alhaji used gestures to elaborate when he spoke.
10.Jumah was always nodding his head agreeing to everything that Jumah said. Jumah used his head to gesture instead of his hands. Whenever he spoke he waved his head left to right, he also kept his hands crossed behind his neck like an old man.
11.Saidu and Moriba were very quiet. Saidu breathed hard as he walked with his large ears and when he was listening they stood up like a deer. Moriba played with his hands examining the lines of his palms and rubbed his fingers as he whispered to himself.
12.I would mostly identify myself with Kanei because when things are going bad I always try to make them better.
13.The host was very nice to the boys even if he never met them. I have had a host that was nice to me. My aunt is always nice to me when I go over.
14.The boys tried running away from the 12 men, but they were not fast enough. The villagers tied them up. They eventually got away again thanks to the cassettes he had in his pockets. They were not welcomed in the village though.
15.To surprise the chaser Ishamael started dancing to his rap cassettes.
16.The chief kept calling the boys devils.
17.The rap cassettes saved the boys from being killed.
One time my friends and I were drinking in a car and the cops parked right next to us and stayed there just looking, but luckily they drove off, and so did we ! !
